Normal

What is a Normal?

People who have normal color vision are able to see the hidden shape in all or nearly all of the test conditions.

People with normal color vision will see all shades in the above picture while if you have some kind of color vision deficiency the above image will look similar to some of the images bellow.

Deuteranopia simulation

Protanopia simulation

Tritanopia simulation

How to setup Vision?

While Vision is usefull for people with color vision deficiency it will not enhance the vision of people with normal color vision.

You can still get some real-time simulation of color blindness by clicking the different rows from the Setup menu, but for less eye strain and better eye health we recommend our other software Iris.

If you liked this color blindness test share https://iristech.co/test-vision with friends 🙂

Complete Tritan

What is a Tritan?

Tritans are people with Tritanomaly, a type of blue color blindness where the blue cones in the eye do not detect enought blue light.

As a result, people affected by tritan color blindness confuse blue with green and yellow with violet.

When all blue cones are missing the Tritanomaly condition is called Tritanopia.

Tritanopia

Tritans with Tritanopia are Dichromats.

In this case the short wavelength sensitive cones (red) are missing at all. A tritanope can only distinguish 2 to 3 different hues, whereas somebody with normal vision sees 7 different hues.

Tritanomaly

Tritans with Tritanomaly are Anomalous Trichromats.

This can be everything between almost normal color vision and tritanopia. The blue sensitive cones are not missing in this case, but do have some kind of mutation.

How Tritans see the world?

To Tritan the above images will look the same.

How to setup Vision for Tritans?

From the Setup menu choose Tritanopia.

The colors of the screen will now change. Screen colors are daltonized in real-time.

This is general preset for people with Tritanomaly and you should now be able to distinguish more colors.

If you want more fine control you can buy Vision Pro. With the Pro version of Vision you can customize the Severity of your color vision deficiency and the Color adjustment applied to the screen.

The recommended Severity for Complete Tritans is 75-100%.

Move the Color adjustment slider as you like. For best color discrimination use the most left or right position of the slider. Values in the center have really small color correction.

Happy using of your new computer full of colors 🙂

The colors of the screen will now change. Screen colors are daltonized in real-time.

This is general preset for people with Deuteranomaly and you should now be able to distinguish more colors.

If you want more fine control you can buy Vision Pro. With the Pro version of Vision you can customize the Severity of your color vision deficiency and the Color adjustment applied to the screen.

The recommended Severity for Strong Deutans is 50-75%.

Move the Color adjustment slider as you like. For best color discrimination use the most left or right position of the slider. Values in the center have really small color correction.

Happy using of your new computer full of colors 🙂

Moderate Deutan

What is a deutan?

Deutans are people with Deuteranomaly, a type of red-green color blindness in which the green cones do not detect enough green and are too sensitive to yellows, oranges, and reds.

As a result, greens, yellows, oranges, reds, and browns may appear similar, especially in low light. It can also be difficult to tell the difference between blues and purples, or pinks and grays.

When all green cones are missing the Deuteranomaly condition is called Deuteranopia.

Deuteranopia

Deutans with Deuteranopia (also called green-blind) are Dichromats.

In this case the medium wavelength sensitive cones (green) are missing at all. A deuteranope can only distinguish 2 to 3 different hues, whereas somebody with normal vision sees 7 different hues.

Deuteranomaly

Deutans with Deuteranomaly (green-weak) are Anomalous Trichromats.

This can be everything between almost normal color vision and deuteranopia. The green sensitive cones are not missing in this case, but the peak of sensitivity is moved towards the red sensitive cones.

How Deutans see the world?

To Deutan the above images will look almost the same.

How to setup Vision for Deutans?

From the Setup menu choose Deuteranopia.

The recommended Severity for Moderate Deutans is 25-50%.

Move the Color adjustment slider as you like. For best color discrimination use the most left or right position of the slider. Values in the center have really small color correction.

Happy using of your new computer full of colors 🙂
