in China, we eye professor recommend a color mix which is do good to eyes.

In reply to Fabio. Everything should work. Even some cheap plastic red glasses. Aside from what blue blocking glasses manufacture tell in their marketing campaigns, the truth is that all red glasses block all blue light :)

You can change your mode to Paused to stop Iris from running for a while and then to Automatic again for it to resume

This way you can have it on paused when your husband uses it 🙂

They also have different models so maybe you will find one that will fit you best for your situation

Hello

I need glasses. I play everyday a VR Boxing game for some minutes and i want to wear glasses under them.
I set brighness very low in the game and contrast too.
I have tried multiple glasses. The one which blocks most (2 squares are black) is way to big and unconfortable.
Any tipps which glasses are really good if i cant use Iris or flux?

If you can get a physical blue light filter that will help you, while it’s not Iris and you have less customizability it’s still much better than nothing

Great article. What’s the recommendation for a work computer where we don’t have access to IRIS or other blue blocking software and we work late (til 9 pm)? Do you recommend draping some kind of screen filter over or blue blocking glasses? I always feel stimulated when I come home from work and have trouble winding down

I installed IRIS and did not realize I was required to pay…I think I did a trial before and it was too hard to use. I need good bluelight protection ( macular degeneratin beginning) and I use F.lux on ember at night but now there seems to be no way to change the daytime to 1900 anymore. I a am disabled senior on a fixed income and would very much like help with all if this. If you could guide me that would be great!
I also want to mention your chat box covers the screen and there is no way to exit…so it is nearly impossible to read your page here or work with the blue light tests without scrolling all the way to the bottom and reading one line at a time under the chat box…quite annoying 🙂

Use Sleep mode

It removes all blue light

Hi Maguel,
We can’t control the hardware brightness of your monitor (the one that you set using your monitor keys) that’s why you can’t remove PWM Flicker with a click of a button

If you want one click simple setings for blue light, I’d suggest sticking to Mode: Automatic Type: Health
When you are using automatic mode Iris will adjust the blue light values depending on the time of day/night and it will do the work for you 🙂

I am confused once again! I just want the healthiest option in one click and so use the Manual and Health setting – is this all I need? If I want to eliminate blue/green light do I have to specifically choose Sleep or Biohacker? If I want to eliminate sub-pixel flicker do I have to choose Reading? If I want to eliminate PWM flicker do I have to set Brightness to Max? What I am saying is how do I combine ALL these fixes in one setting or is that not possible?
